Our client, one of the largest listed companies in Hong Kong, is renowned for its cutting-edge technologies and customer-centric approach in providing day-to-day services to society. They are seeking a skilled System Engineer with strong expertise in Alibaba Cloud to design, deploy, and manage cloud-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Alibaba Cloud services, a passion for optimizing system performance, and a knack for solving complex technical challenges. This is an initial 12-month contract position with the possibility of renewal.
Key Contributions:
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure using Alibaba Cloud services (e.g., ECS, RDS, OSS, VPC, SLB).
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments on Alibaba Cloud.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and scalability.
- Configure and manage Alibaba Cloud security services, including IAM, Security Center, and WAF.
- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to integrate cloud solutions with existing systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Implement disaster recovery and backup strategies using Alibaba Cloud tools like ApsaraDB and Hybrid Backup Recovery (HBR).
- Stay updated on Alibaba Cloud's latest features and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
Core Expectations:
- Bachelor degree in Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in System Engineer or similar role with a focus on cloud infrastructure.
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Alibaba Cloud Resource Manager).
- Able to work independently, self-driven and eager to learn
- Proactive, good organization skills and strong teamwork mindset
- Strong ownership and responsible for work quality
- Able to manage multiple tasks, projects and prioritize
- Strong command in both English and Cantonese
