Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, particularly in relation to financial reporting for insurance operations.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Manage the preparation of regulatory reports and submissions, including risk-based capital calculations and other statutory filings.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather necessary data for financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends and provide insights to senior management for strategic decision-making.
  • Support ad-hoc projects related to financial analysis, regulatory changes, and process improvements.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a master's degree or professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, HKICPA) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial reporting and regulatory compliance in the insurance sector.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, local accounting standards, and regulatory requirements applicable to the insurance industry.
  • Proven experience in preparing financial statements and regulatory reports.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
