Your new company Seeking a highly skilled and proactive Special Assets Assistant Manager/Manager to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and resolving distressed assets, developing recovery strategies, and minimising losses while maximising recoveries. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent negotiation abilities, and a deep understanding of credit risk management.
Your new role - Manage a portfolio of distressed assets, including non-performing loans (NPLs) and other troubled credits.
- Develop and implement strategies for asset recovery, restructuring, and resolution.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis and risk assessments to determine the best course of action for distressed assets.
- Negotiate with borrowers, guarantors, and other stakeholders to achieve optimal recovery outcomes.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on asset status, recovery strategies, and progress to senior management and relevant committees.
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, and other internal teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Monitor market trends and economic conditions to identify potential risks and opportunities for asset recovery.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all asset management activities and decisions.
What you'll need to succeed - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in special assets management, credit risk management, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, credit risk assessment, and asset recovery strategies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proven negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in financial analysis software and tools (e.g., Excel, Bloomberg, etc.)
