Your new role - Manage daily operations of the cybersecurity tooling team, ensuring optimal performance and uptime of all security systems.
- Lead the planning, deployment, and lifecycle management of advanced security tools (e.g., SIEM, SOAR, EDR, vulnerability management, DLP, CASB, IAM).
- Collaborate with IT infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to integrate security controls into enterprise architecture.
- Ensure compliance with ITIL processes, internal security policies, and external regulatory requirements.
- Oversee incident detection, response, and resolution through effective use of security tooling.
- Review and approve firewall rules, access control configurations, and network segmentation changes.
- Conduct internal audits, risk assessments, and present findings to senior leadership.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
What you'll need to succeed - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, PMP, GIAC, or equivalent.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Hands-on experience managing and optimizing a wide range of security tools (e.g., Splunk, CrowdStrike, Tenable, Palo Alto, Microsoft Defender, Okta).
- Strong understanding of ITIL, NIST, ISO 27001, and other risk and compliance frameworks.
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid infrastructure environments.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage complex projects.
