Position Description

We are seeking a top calibre Research Analyst to join our growing Energy Transition Research Team. Reporting to the Head of Energy Transition & Sustainability Research, this candidate will assume primary coverage on selective high-quality companies in the Global Energy space.

In this Research Analyst role, the candidate is expected to perform industry analysis, build and maintain industry & company financial models, and make investment recommendations to institutional investors. He/she will be responsible for his/her own research product and client franchise, as well as contributing to the teams research work, all of which forms part of the candidates performance metric.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

  • Prepare in-depth research reports that highlights key research findings, investment thesis, financial forecasts, catalysts and valuation
  • Conduct thorough due diligence by engaging with company management and industry experts
  • Maintain a client franchise both individually, as well as collectively as a team, by proactively engage with institutional investors through roadshows, face-to-face meetings and phone calls
  • Liaise with corporates and industry experts to host various events

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree or above, with a minimum of 5 years experience from buyside or sellside
  • CPA/CFA qualification would be an advantage
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyse complex financial data and make informed decisions
  • Proficient in financial modelling and different valuation techniques, while embracing innovation and new technologies to enhance the research process
  • Excellent and well-structured written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese
  • Self-motivated and able to work under pressure
