About the team
Hong Kong Corporates Section in the Corporate Banking Department is responsible for managing develop, maintaining and further enhancing business relationship with existing/target customers in local corporates.
Role requirements
- Maintain and develop business relationship with local companies by promoting new and existing corporate finance, investment and transactional banking products of the Banks;
- Explore and onboard new clients according to management's guidance;
- Responsible for structuring credit proposals, preparing deal memos and credit applications, coordinating internal approval, executing new transactions, as well as attending to account opening documentation and other daily routines for new and existing accounts;
- Monitor existing credit commitments and handle credit related matters;
- Handle customer inquiries and take instructions for loan, deposit, FX or derivative transactions;
- Collaborate with other departments (product partners, middle office and back office, etc) to identify cross-selling opportunities;
- Support senior Relationship Managers on business promotion and relationship management;
- Assist Section Head and Management in the implementation of certain marketing or general management policies, preparing management information, business plan and result presentation.
Essential Functions
- Contribute to improve the business results of Hong Kong Corporates Section in collaboration with credit analysis team, operations sections, overseas branches and other product partners;
- Assist the team to achieve profit target set by management.
Competencies
- To proactively manages regular work without Department Head's instruction and handles irregular cases by obtaining necessary information and analyzing previous cases;
- To respect for and commit to high standards of business conduct and integrity in conducting operations/reporting, etc.
Work experience, education and skills
- Bachelor degree in Business related disciplines;
- At least 2 to 3 years experience in client relationship management and/or credit analysis; with product knowledge in cash management, loan syndication, trade finance and FX/derivatives is desirable;
- Good team player with excellent communication skills and presentation skills;
- Good command of both spoken and written English and Mandarin.
