Job Purpose
Responsible for the overall performance of the Trade Finance Operations, managing the job functions of the four operation units namely Import Bills, Export Bills, Standalone Financing and Trade Finance Operations Support, and manage the Commodities operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring the smooth running and operating effectiveness of transaction processing, price index monitoring of products and application systems in responsible areas
- Ensure all services delivered are met with the requirements and meet the agreed SLA with satisfactory result
- Strengthen key operational risk capabilities from process gaps identification to build strong control with consideration of efficiency, best practice and regulatory and /or compliance requirements
- Coordinate with business units to explore collaboration and supports required
- Design and analyze infrastructures to map out a more cost / resource-efficient strategy
- Drive Change and Lean Process in daily operation and support for automation projects
- Participate in other projects that are related to the Team
- Provide regional support to overseas office for their business requirements
- Prepare annual budget and manage operating expenses accordingly
- Coach and train subordinates and ensure proper communication channel through to all level of team members
- Any other ad-hoc task assigned by supervisor
Requirements
- Degree holder in Business Administration or related disciplines is preferred;
- Minimum 20 years experience in trade finance operations of which 10 years in managerial level, with previous experience of leading a sizable team is highly preferred;
- Strong and professional knowledge in trade products with experience in project management and handling cross border trade, Trade Credit Insurance related products & FI products
- Solid and practical trade finance operational experience with ability to reinforce update market developments / knowledge and industry best practices from trade finance operational perspective
- Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
- Good presentation and communications skills
- Proficient in MS Office;
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
