Your new role You will support the risk management function for the Fixed Income, Currencies, and Commodities (FICC) business. This includes monitoring market risk exposures, supporting quantitative analysis, and ensuring compliance with internal risk frameworks. The role offers exposure to cross-border trading activities and collaboration with global teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze market risk exposures across FICC products including bonds, FX, rates, and derivatives.
- Assist in developing and maintaining risk models, stress testing, and scenario analysis.
- Support daily risk reporting and escalation of limit breaches or unusual trading activity.
- Collaborate with trading desks, compliance, and operations to ensure effective risk controls.
- Contribute to the enhancement of risk systems and automation of reporting processes.
What you'll need to succeed - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Mathematics, or related discipline; advanced degree or certification (e.g., FRM, CFA) is a plus.
- 3-6 years of experience in market risk or FICC risk within a financial institution.
- Solid understanding of fixed income and FX products, derivatives, and risk metrics.
- Strong analytical and programming skills (e.g., Python, VBA, SQL).
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Fluent in English; Mandarin is an advantage.
