Your new role
You will lead the operational risk function, overseeing risk governance, control assessments, and incident management across business units. This role involves strategic oversight, regulatory engagement, and cross-functional collaboration to strengthen the bank's operational resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain the operational risk management framework, policies, and procedures.
  • Lead Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA), Key Risk Indicators (KRI) monitoring, and incident reporting.
  • Provide oversight and challenge to business units on risk identification and mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate with internal audit, compliance, and business continuity teams to ensure integrated risk management.
  • Prepare risk reports and updates for senior management and regulatory bodies.
  • Support regulatory reviews and ensure alignment with HKMA and global standards.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, or related discipline; professional qualifications (e.g., CPA, FRM) are a plus.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in operational risk within banking or financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of HKMA guidelines and international risk frameworks (e.g., Basel, COSO).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in English; Cantonese and/or Mandarin is an advantage.
