Our client, an international investment bank with global offices, is actively seeking an experienced Business Analyst/Project Manager to join their front office equities technology team in Hong Kong. Salary: Up to HKD 1.2 million base per annum

Our client, an international investment bank with global offices, is actively seeking an experienced Business Analyst/Project Manager to join their front office equities technology team in Hong Kong.

The role:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and business liaison between the front office trading teams and the technology/engineering teams responsible for electronic trading systems and infrastructure.
  • Gather, document, and analyze business requirements from traders, quants, and other stakeholders for new electronic trading capabilities, enhancements, and optimizations.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications and technical designs, working closely with the engineering team to ensure accurate implementation.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on exchange rules, market microstructure, and regulatory requirements impacting electronic trading.
  • Participate in industry working groups and stay up-to-date on electronic trading trends and best practices.

What you offer:

  • 5+ years working as a Business Analyst within an investment bank or hedge fund.
  • In-depth understanding of order management systems and exchange connectivity
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with both business and technology teams.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools, such as Excel, Python, SQL, and Tableau.
  • Knowledge of exchange rules, market regulations, and compliance requirements related to electronic trading.
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
  • Experience in dealing with Asian markets (both developed and emerging) in terms of exchange rules, market conventions/constraints, and workflows.
