About the team
FX Trading Section is responsible for market-making and trading related to foreign exchange related products, including spot, forward and FX option products.
Role requirements
- Through market-making and pricing operations, to provide clients with timely and appropriate prices for foreign exchange-related transactions
- Collaborate with the sales team to deliver services that meet client needs
- To generate trading revenue through hedging-related transactions with interbank counterparties
- Collaborate with the Rates Trading Section by sharing market colors, trading strategies, and administrative tasks to mutually increase trading revenue
- Work with senior traders to develop future strategies aimed at expanding FX trading business
- To assist senior traders in their trading related works
- To prepare materials for reporting to management
Essential Functions
- Support to achieve the departments profit target by trading and market-making to clients;
- Support to achieve liquidity requirements of the department;
- Support the growing FX related business as well as smooth running of trading team.

- We are looking for an individual who Has mind-set to initiate changes and improvements for higher productivity/performance;
- Builds good working relationship with other members and stakeholders and effectively collaborates with them to achieve Team/Section goals;
- Proactively acquires necessary knowledge through day-to-day work through training.
Work experience, education and skills
- Bachelors Degree Holder, preferably in Finance and/or Statistics;
- Minimum 6 years of experience in Banking and Trading; With trading experience in FX-related products;
- It is preferable to possess licenses such as SFC licensing requirement Type 1 and 4, CFETS CFETS trader license and TMA membership.
- Proficient in basic financial mathematics calculations and intermediate computer skills;
- Familiar with Excel VBA would be an advantage;
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin, and good spoken Cantonese.
