Job Purpose:

The role is to lead financial planning and analysis for the Operations Management Group (OPG). The incumbent needs to provide expert guidance on annual budget planning, monitoring and analyzing operational expenditures, and facilitating effective communication on financial arrangement within our Bank.

Accountabilities:

  • Support the Head of Operations in developing and executing financial strategies and plan, including setting long-term goals, managing risks, and facilitating cross-functional collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Oversee and coordinate the financial forecasting, budgeting, analysis, monitoring, and management reporting processes for the Operations Department, ensuring alignment with the Banks strategic objectives and operational needs.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Management Group (FMG) and other internal stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely, and transparent financial communication and reporting.
  • Assist Head of Operations to ensure that financial arrangement comply with the Banks compliance standards, policies/procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure timely settlement of various invoices and accrual arrangement to meet the project and BAU budget plan
  • Support the training and readiness of functional stakeholders of changing of financial arrangements to ensure teams competency with the new financial arrangements.
  • Assist in improving financial budgeting, tracking, and controlling mechanism.
  • Take up such other responsibilities as may be required by the Line Manager from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Masters degree in related field is a plus. Professional accounting qualification such as HKICPA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent is highly preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in project management, financial analysis or planning, or banking related working experience
  • Solid experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Exposure to banking operations, regulatory reporting, and internal controls is an advantage
  • Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
  • Good presentation and communications skills
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
