Overview This role offers a dynamic opportunity to join a high-performing legal team supporting global trading and investment activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for negotiating complex financial agreements, advising on derivatives transactions, and collaborating across multiple business and infrastructure units.
Responsibilities - Act as a key legal representative in internal meetings and cross-functional working groups
- Provide support on a variety of ad hoc legal matters and documentation requests
- Draft and review commercial contracts, including confidentiality agreements, brokerage arrangements, and account onboarding documents
- Develop and refine legal templates, internal policies, and procedural documentation to enhance operational efficiency
- Deliver legal and transactional guidance on OTC derivatives, structured products, and listed warrants
- Engage with counterparties, front office teams, credit risk, operations, and other internal stakeholders throughout the negotiation process
- Lead negotiations for Initial Margin Credit Support Annexes (IM CSAs) and related collateral documentation
- Prepare and negotiate master trading agreements such as ISDA Master Agreements (and CSAs), GMRA, and GMSLA, supporting a wide range of global business units including Equities, Fixed Income, Commodities, Treasury, Asset Management, Securities Financing, and Wealth Management
Requirements - Law degree required; professional legal qualification strongly preferred
- Non-qualified legal professionals with substantial experience in ISDA or master agreement negotiation are also encouraged to apply
- 3-5 years' experience in derivatives law or financial documentation
- Demonstrated expertise in drafting and negotiating complex legal agreements
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage high-pressure situations effectively
- Fluent in written and spoken English; ability to draft and review documents in Chinese is advantageous
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to continuously learn
