Our client is a well-established global asset management with strong financial performance and background. They are currently looking for a Head of Operation to set-up a Digital Asset (Crypto) Exchange function. You will be closely working alongside with senior management and project managers across various functions to setup the functions.
Responsibilities
- Design & structure core digital asset business operations including trade lifecycle processes, settlement operation, data management (account operation), operational risk management & vendor management
- Develop and implement corporate policies, compliance frameworks, and operational best practices to ensure an efficient digital asset operation
- Oversee digital wallet management workflows (hot, cold, MPC custody), on-chain settlement, and multisig processes.
- Implement controls around staking, bridging, wrapping, and smart contract interactions across DeFi protocols.
- Manage centralized exchange accounts, counterparty onboarding, and real-time risk exposure.
- Implement controls and automation for trade lifecycle processes: trade capture, margin tracking, settlements, and reconciliation.
- Lead operational security efforts in collaboration with engineering and custodians.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing data-driven recommendations on cost optimization and operational improvement
- Work with the IT partners and engineering leads to ensure operational robustness of trading infrastructure, systems uptime, cybersecurity, incident response, and operational tooling and business continuity.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operation Management, or a related field
- 8 years + experience in operations leadership, preferably within financial institution and digital asset management organization (Crypto-trading organization)
- Solid experience in setting up digital asset operation
- Deep knowledge of SFC regulatory policies, financial markets, trading infrastructure, crypto market and custody models, operational risks, and exchange workflows
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead high-performance teams and scale infrastructure in fast-moving environments.
- Proven experience in policy setup and vendor management
- Strong in budget planning and stakeholders management
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
