Responsibilities
  • Operational Design & Strategy: Work directly with the Head of Operations to design, document, and implement end-to-end operational workflows for virtual asset products, including trade settlement, custody, wallet management, staking, and corporate actions.
  • Requirements Gathering & BRD Development: Elicit, analyze, and document detailed business requirements from operations, risk, compliance, and trading teams. Translate these requirements into comprehensive Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), and user stories.
  • Platform Development Support: Partner closely with IT and external vendors to guide the development, customization, and integration of the virtual asset system. Ensure the platform meets all operational, risk, and control standards.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously analyze and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency, reduce risk, and improve scalability. Develop and maintain detailed process maps and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between the Operations department and IT, Product, Compliance, and Risk teams to ensure clear communication and alignment on project goals and timelines.
  • Testing & Implementation: Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts for new system features and operational processes. Coordinate with operations staff on training and smooth implementation into BAU.
  • Industry Best Practices: Stay abreast of regulatory developments, market practices, and technological advancements in the virtual asset space to ensure our operations remain cutting-edge and compliant.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Essential:
    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Technology, or a related field.
    • 6-8+ years of experience in a business analysis or operations product management role within financial services.
    • Proven, hands-on experience working for a crypto exchange, custodian, or a traditional financial institution building a virtual asset platform.
    • Deep, practical understanding of virtual asset operations: crypto trade lifecycle, wallet structures (hot/cold), multi-sig, blockchain reconciliations, and network protocols.
    • Strong experience in writing detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and managing the full project lifecycle.
    • Solid background in traditional financial instruments (Fixed Income, Equities, FX) and their operational processes (settlement, asset servicing).
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Highly Desirable:
    • Experience with selecting and implementing third-party vendor systems (e.g., trading systems, custodians, wallets).
    • Knowledge of the regulatory environment for virtual assets in Hong Kong and other major jurisdictions.
    • Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies.
