APAC Equities business execution supports the APAC Regional Equities business on all aspects of the business including facilitating strategic initiatives within the Equities business while ensuring a robust control environment is maintained. As such this role not only requires a strong business sense but also the ability to identify and mitigate risks for the business by working with support functions such as Legal, Risk, Finance, Operations, Technology and Compliance.
Responsibilities:
- To support the APAC Equities senior management on executing the business strategies in the region including managing the implementation of new strategic projects.
- To work with the central control functions across the firm particular with global Equities to enhance, implement and deliver key controls and regulatory commitments across the APAC Equities business
- To take on responsibilities within larger projects and report on performance and achievements back to the project manager and or the business sponsor.
- To provide the best possible architecture and solutions for emerging business projects to ensure stability and commercial longevity
- Identify new risks and ensure proper controls are in place for specific functions
- Maintain and monitor the controls environment with escalation to the APAC Equities business head and local senior management on any control issue
- Continue to ensure the business are in complying and challenge procedures that are not consistent with the firm's objectives
- Coordinate and manage any Internal Audits and Compliance Assurance
- As part of the Business Execution team, there will also be opportunities to participate in cross-business projects and initiatives allowing the candidate to work with members of the wider team and other parts of the firm.
Qualifications:
- 5 - 10 years of banking or relevant experience in Equities or Capital Markets product knowledges
- Knowledge of the financial services industry with strong analytical experience looking at client attribution/wallets is preferred
- Previous experience in managing complex projects and processes
- Proven ability to work in high-pressure environments
- Experience in developing and maintaining effective work relationships
