A leading investment bank is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Operations Business Analyst to support the operations team in the migration of securities, financing products and OTC derivatives, from vendor system to the proprietary in-house system. This role will play a critical part in ensuring a smooth transition, thorough understanding of business requirements, and effective communication across all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary liaison between operations and IT teams during the post-trade system migration.
- Analyze and document current post-trade operations processes
- Gather, validate, and manage business requirements for system enhancements and migration activities.
- Collaborate with technology teams to support the design, configuration, and testing of the strategic system to meet operational needs.
- Develop detailed functional specifications, process flows, and user guides for the new system functionalities.
- Facilitate UAT (User Acceptance Testing) by preparing test scenarios, coordinating testing with operations teams, and ensuring issues are logged and resolved.
- Monitor and track project progress, manage risks and issues, and ensure timely resolution of post-trade operational challenges during migration.
- Provide training and support to end-users to ensure effective adoption and understanding of strategic system operations.
- Maintain thorough documentation and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in market operations with a focus post-trade processes across securities, stock borrowing and lending, repo and OTC derivatives.
- Familiarity with derivatives operations, trade lifecycle, settlement, confirmation, and risk management processes.
- Experience supporting or managing system migrations,
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills in Mandarin and English.
- Proficient in creating detailed documentation, process maps, and functional specifications.
- Experience facilitating UAT and ability to work independently, manage tight deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to develop strong relationships with various teams across the firm and excellent communications skills to achieve desired results.
