Key Responsibilities

  • Maximize debt collection and recovery for the designated accounts through different means and methods including cash/ assets collection and recovery, debt restructuring, security enforcement, obtaining additional securities etc.
  • Exercise proper assessment to help formulate strategy and recovery plan that can minimize the specific provision for designated accounts and facilitate provision write-backs, thus contributing to the profitability (after-provision) of the Bank.
  • Handle the problem accounts including dealing with debt service payments, negotiation with borrowers, formulating collection and recovery strategies, preparing credit applications, drafting simple legal documentation, following up legal actions, contacting the debt collection agency etc.
  • Report the recovery progress and assess the recovery rate of the problem accounts.
  • Obtain and update the valuation of the collaterals and securities of the problem loan accounts timely and appropriately.
  • Enhance and prepare the regular management reports by improving the output quality and shortening the preparation time so that reports can be timely delivered to 3rd parties users.
  • To prepare ECL assessment in accordance model and guidelines.
  • To assist Head of RAM dealing with enquiries from internal / external audit and regulator.
  • Manage litigation and legal process in relation to NPL with the support from internal legal and engagement of external legal counsel.
  • To liaise with investor(s) and AMC(s) on NPL disposal as alternated recovery arrangement.
  • Handle ad hoc projects assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Secondary education or above. Bachelor degree holder in business or risk management is a plus.
  • Minimum 5-8 years relevant experience in bank, credit or related field.
  • Professional Qualification of Certified Credit Risk Management Professional (Credit Portfolio Management) (CCRP(CPM)) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of litigation process in HKSAR and PRC with focus on collaterals repossession.
  • Good knowledge of regulatory requirements such as relevant ordinances and supervisory guidelines.
  • In-depth knowledge on Banking and Investment products.
  • Solid experience on Corporate Banking collection is preferable.
  • Good communication skills
