The Role
We're looking for a seasoned MongoDB Specialist to design, manage, and optimize high-availability database systems. This is a senior role that requires hands-on experience with MongoDB administration, performance tuning, and data modeling. You'll work closely with developers and infrastructure teams to ensure the database environment is secure, scalable, and resilient.
The Requirements
- Were seeking candidates with the following qualifications and experience:
- Solid experience as a MongoDB Developer, DBA, or Administrator
- Expert-level knowledge of MongoDB querying, aggregation pipelines, indexing, and advanced performance tuning
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB Atlas, Ops Manager, or Compass
- Proficient in replication, sharding, and NoSQL data modeling
- Skilled in managing MongoDB clusters (e.g., replica sets, sharded clusters)
- Familiarity with backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes
- Comfortable working in Linux/Unix environments and scripting with Bash, Python, or JavaScript
- Knowledge of public cloud platforms AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus
- Strong analytical thinking and clear communication skills
- Nice to Have:
- MongoDB Certifications (e.g., Certified Developer or DBA)
- Exposure to other databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Redis
- Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, or DevOps methodologies
