Position Description

Support the team in Hong Kong in relation to the following key areas on CLSA Asset Management and Principal Investments businesses

Key Areas of Responsibilities

  • Handle full set of accounts for entities under asset management and principal investments.
  • Prepare monthly Financial Resources Rule returns (Type1, 4, 9) and ensure strict compliance under SFC regulations.
  • Oversee financial controls & reporting, financial analytics, regulatory financial compliance (client money & FRR), and audit & taxation matters for the related business lines.
  • Analyze the financial positions and performance and provide value adding information to the management
  • Advise on accounting and finance related regulatory matters for new products & business flows
  • Evaluate and implement robust internal controls and efficient accounting process
  • Communicate and work closely various functions in the organization
  • Brainstorm and implement ideas to improve the work flow & output quality using technology
  • Handle ad-hoc financial enquiries and assignments

Requirements

  • Degree holder
  • CPA or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 5+ years relevant experiences in financial services/ financial reporting
  • Familiarity with IFRS and FRR reporting.
  • In-depth knowledge in accounting, financial products, regulatory requirements and industry operations.
  • Proficiency in use of computer systems including MS office, ERP systems such as SAP
  • Excellent communications skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • High level of work ethics, professional integrity and compliance of internal control policies
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and leadership ability. Good team players
