The reporter will be driving IFR's market-leading coverage of Asia's fast-growing offshore G3 bond market from Asia. The ideal candidate will need to build strong relationships with market participants and be able to explain trends and market moves clearly and accurately. Skills in analysing data would be an advantage, as would Mandarin fluency.
Knowledge & Skill : - Good English skills and an ability to work under pressure to deadlines are essential.
- Journalism experience is crucial. Priority will be given to candidates with experience covering financial markets. Relevant qualifications in finance / economics are desirable but not essential.
- The reporter must have the ability to come up with fresh ideas and different angles.
- Team work and interpersonal skills are important in this role, as the recruit will be working in a team spread across 4 countries, as well as interacting with our teams in London and New York occasionally.
- Experienced professional with in-depth knowledge of technical discipline or specialism

- Strong understanding of other roles within the function or Business Unit and how they are connected
- Knowledge of relationships between all relevant groups within the company
