Your new company A large Chinese bank is now hiring an AML Transaction Monitoring (Assistant Manager/Manager) (Fixed-term contract) to join their FCC department.
Your new role - Support the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of the Bank's AML/CFT systems, including drafting user requirements, conducting user acceptance testing (UAT), collaborating with IT teams, and resolving application-related incidents.
- Perform regular scenario threshold reviews and tuning to maintain system effectiveness and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Monitor transactions and investigate suspicious activities or alerts generated by AML/CFT systems to identify potential money laundering or terrorist financing risks.
- Review AML reports, detect suspicious transactions, initiate appropriate follow-up actions to ensure adherence to relevant regulations.
- Participate in the timely preparation and submission of suspicious transaction reports (STRs) to the appropriate regulatory authorities.
- Assist the team head in tracking the progress of AML/CFT system cases and STRs, ensuring investigations are completed and conclusions are reached within the required timeframe.
What you'll need to succeed - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Law, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Technology or related disciplines;
- At least 3-4 years of relevant experience in AML/CFT compliance, preferably in transaction monitoring and SAS system threshold tuning from banks;
- Holding AAMLP/CAMS/ECF would be an advantage;
- Sound knowledge of anti-money laundering-related regulations, guidelines and practices;
- Knowledge of data analysis and visualisation tools (e.g. SAS Viya, SQL and Python);
- Independent, good team player, analytical mind with sound communication and interpersonal skills;
- Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese, fluency in Putonghua is preferable.
