Responsibilities:

Communication Strategy & Program Development
  • Strategic Formulation: Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies to enhance credibility and trust among various stakeholders and the public
  • Market Visibility: Create and execute cost-effective communication initiatives to boost awareness in both international and local markets, emphasizing I&T positioning and the achievements of partner organizations within the ecosystem.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee the communications team while collaborating with different business units to define target audiences, craft impactful messaging, and execute effective engagement strategies using aligned tactics and platforms.
Public Affairs and Media Relations
  • Media Engagement: Build and maintain robust relationships with both international and local media outlets to cultivate a credible reputation and enhance media visibility.
  • Crisis Response: Identify and manage potentially harmful news events through critical assessment and the implementation of strategies to mitigate issues, clearly articulating the organization's stance through multiple media channels.
Team Management and Development
  • Team Coordination: Supervise the communications team to aid in the execution of the communication strategy.
  • Performance Enhancement: Encourage a culture of excellence and continual improvement that prioritizes learning and quality commitment.
  • Staff Development: Offer ongoing mentorship and support to team members through a collaborative and encouraging approach.

Requirements:
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, or a related discipline is essential; an advanced degree is advantageous.
  • Professional Experience: At least 15 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 8 years in a leadership role managing a substantial team within corporate marketing communications or public relations.
  • Media Connections: Strong network with both international and local media, as well as significant relationships with key opinion leaders.
  • Crisis Management Skills: Proven experience in handling issues and crises, along with effective stakeholder engagement, and familiarity with executive communications.
  • Personal Qualities: Dynamic, adaptable, collaborative, proactive, and innovative in leveraging new media technologies.
  • Industry Familiarity: Experience in the the technology sector is a plus.
  • Language Skills: Proficient in both verbal and written forms of English and Chinese, including Cantonese and Putonghua.
