Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Head of Finance to lead our clients fund accounting and financial reporting functions. This mid-senior level role offers a clear pathway to a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) position, providing significant career growth within a fast-growing firm. Reporting directly to the COO, the successful candidate will oversee fund accounting, NAV calculations, tax reporting, and SFC Financial Resources Rules (FRR) reporting, with a focus on Cayman fund structures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage fund accounting, including Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations and share class accounting.
  • Identify and resolve errors in accounting treatment to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Handle tax reporting, including US tax filings (e.g., K1 partnership filings, if applicable).
  • Ensure compliance with Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) Financial Resources Rules (FRR) reporting requirements.
  • Oversee financial operations for Cayman-domiciled funds, adhering to regulatory and operational standards.
  • Collaborate with the COO to streamline financial processes and support firm growth.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and support audits.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional qualifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) highly desirable.
  • 8–15 years of relevant experience in fund accounting, with specific expertise in Cayman fund structures.
  • Strong knowledge of NAV calculations, share class accounting, and financial reporting.
  • Familiarity with SFC Financial Resources Rules (FRR) reporting requirements and Hong Kong regulatory frameworks.
  • US tax experience (e.g., K1 filings) is a significant advantage.
  • Proven ability to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies with precision.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a small team.
