The Database Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of their database systems, with a focus on SQL Server and PostgreSQL. The role:
- Design, implement, and maintain robust database solutions that meet the needs of various applications and data workflows.
- Monitor and optimize database performance, including query tuning, indexing strategies, and system configurations.
- Ensure data integrity and security by implementing best practices for backup, recovery, and access control.
- Work closely with application developers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide technical support.
- Plan and execute database migrations and upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
