Salary: Up to HK 80,000 base per annum

Our client, a global trading firm, is actively seeking to hire a Procurement Analyst to join their expanding team in Hong Kong.

The role:

  • Collaborate with the local procurement manager in Hong Kong to carry out daily tasks as needed.
  • Communicate with colleagues regarding their sourcing needs and address general procurement inquiries across the APAC region, including Software, Professional Services, Telecommunications, and Office Fit-Out procurement.
  • Engage with key suppliers to request quotes, benchmark costs, and monitor estimated arrival times, ensuring timely deliveries within APAC and globally.
  • Build and maintain supplier relationships as necessary.
  • Negotiate contracts and coordinate with our internal Legal team when required.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and avoidance.
  • Raise and receipt purchase orders, assisting end-users in making purchase requests via our procurement portal, Coupa.
  • Liaise with the finance team as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the local procurement manager and the procurement team in London.
  • Manage DocuSign envelopes.

What you offer:

  • You possess a solid understanding of the procurement process, with 1-5 years of experience in a medium-sized, fast-paced, and agile business environment.
  • Experience working within a small, high-impact procurement team and the ability to manage tasks across the entire Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process.
  • Capability to handle all aspects of the P2P lifecycle independently as needed.
  • Strong knowledge of IT and Professional Services procurement; familiarity with other indirect categories is advantageous.
  • Understanding of procurement challenges within the APAC region.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Cantonese and English.
  • Solid experience with the legal and commercial elements of contract negotiations, with the ability to negotiate agreements with vendors.
  • Diligent in managing workload and prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Eagerness to enhance skills across all areas of Procurement.
  • Proficient in corporate P2P systems like SAP and Coupa, as well as eSignature platforms such as DocuSign.
  • Ability to speak Mandarin is a plus.
