Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for import and export bills documents checking against UCP600 and ISBP821.
- Provide L/C or trade solutions, and resolve documentary discrepancies with business units, customers and related parties.
- Perform in a role of maker/checker on the full set processing of trade finance transactions, including all types of L/C, Guarantee, Factoring, Refinancing, D/A or D/P, etc., with high level of accuracy and efficiency.
- Review and maintain the L/C terms and conditions for the opening of L/C, in particular, Back-to-Back L/C, Front-to-Back L/C and Transferable L/C, etc.
- Perform in a role of maker/checker on Trade-based Anti-Money Laundering processes and controls.
- Prepare system inputs, accounting entries posting, bills advice, SWIFT and client related correspondences to ensure clients trade finance transactions are processed efficiently and accurately.
- Provide quality services and appropriate advice to both internal and external customers.
- Review current operations procedures and ensure they are aligned with both internal and regulatory guidelines.
- Participate in projects including user requirements writeup, system enhancement and UAT.
- Act as a change agent to explore continuous improvement opportunities against the existing processes and implement effective solutions to strive for operational excellence.
- Perform ad hoc projects and assignments.
Job Requirements:
- Degree Holder in banking or business administration related disciplines.
- Minimum 5 years experience as trade finance operations in banking industry.
- Excellent knowledge of end-to-end trade finance processing cycle for all types of trade products as well as relevant Trade-based Anti-Money Laundering checking as per the Banks internal guideline and HKMA requirements.
- Excellent hands-on operational experience in managing and processing trade finance transactions.
- Solid product knowledge of trade finance products.
- Good understanding of banking practices, regulatory and compliance requirements related to trade finance in banking industry, including relevant international rules of UCP600, ICC, ISBP, URR, URC rules and other trade finance related requirements
- Relevant professional qualification/certificate (e.g., CDCS, CITF, CSDG, etc.) is preferred.
- Strong operational risk and control mindset.
- A good team player, organized, detail-oriented, hardworking and able to work independently under pressure to provide quality customer service.
- Good time management, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
