We are currently seeking a talented System Engineer (Application Support) for one of our most sizeable in-house clients.
Your new role
- Manage and enhance Unix/Linux server environments, focusing on Red Hat and Ubuntu distributions.
- Ensure the optimal performance and reliability of data storage clusters.
- Perform regular system and security operations following security guidelines, including patch management, vulnerability assessments, and system monitoring.
- Collaborate with diverse teams to design and deploy technical solutions.
- Provide timely troubleshooting and resolution for system-related issues.
- Maintain detailed documentation for system configurations and processes.
What you'll need to succeed
- 5+ years of practical experience in server administration and data centre operation
- Strong expertise in Unix/Linux environments, especially with Red Hat and Ubuntu.
- Diverse knowledge of networks (VPNs, firewalls) and cloud platforms etc.
- Experience in scripting languages such as Java, Python, BASH, and Perl
- Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese)
