The Role
Associate/AVP, Software Engineer, Information Technology
Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for the technical solution implementation plan and application development. Build and enhance applications of business departments, including Finance Management Department, Risk Management Department, Business Operations Department, Legal and Compliance Department, and IT Department;
- Organize the annual production plans for system projects of BOCI information technology projects, Head Office Information Technology projects, and Executive Office projects. Responsible for project initiation, progress control, project delivery, and other project management tasks;
- Collaborate with project managers to develop system technical implementation plans, perform system software application design, and conduct application software development. Provide technical support to business analysts (BA) and assist them in designing system requirement documents with users;
- During the project implementation phase, develop software systems according to the system requirement documents to meet user needs. Write technical documentation, manage source code versions, support business analysts and users in system testing, and write deployment documentation for the operations team to deploy the system to production;
- After the application system goes live, provide technical support to the operations team for the online system, and resolve the production issues;
- Collaborate with the bank's technology risk management team to follow up head office audits, inquiries, internal audits, and regulatory requirements;
- Complete other tasks assigned by management in a timely manner.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor degree majored in computer science or equivalent;
- 5+ years relevant working experience in development projects;
- Familiar with development methodology and project lifecycle;
- Solid technical skills with SQL, Linux, J2EE framework (spring hibernate, springboot etc.);
- Front End Development experience has advantage, but not a must;
- Application development experience in financial institutions is a plus;
- Good to have experiences in working with vendors, but not a must;
- Proactive attitude, with sense of ownership and good team player;
- Strong interpersonal skills when interacting with project manager and business analyst;
- Bilingual with both Chinese and English.
