Our client, a leading APAC technology and IT solutions provider, is actively seeking a seasoned Network Manager to lead and mentor their high-performing network team and will be responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance and continuous improvement of an enterprise network infrastructure.
You will be expected to ensure the delivery of projects and services to meet SLAs and drive the architectural process and improvement to maintain network availability, security and integrity.
Responsibilities of the Role:
- Lead the network delivery team: assign work, manage utilization, set priorities, and coach staff.
- Oversee design, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of routing, switching, firewall, and WAN/LAN infrastructure.
- Define, implement, and enforce standard processes and procedures to meet internal and external SLAs.
- Develop and implement network strategies aligned with architecture standards and industry best practices.
- Proactively identify root causes of availability, performance, and security issues; implement corrective measures and process improvements.
- Evaluate and pilot new tools and technologies to improve team efficiency and network operations.
- Manage incident response, troubleshooting, fault isolation, and escalation for complex network issues.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and customers to ensure successful project delivery and operational handover.
- Maintain documentation, runbooks, and configuration standards.
- Operate effectively under pressure and meet critical deadlines in high-stress situations.
Required Skills for the Role:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive network engineering experience, including at least 1 year in a managerial or team-lead role.
- Mandatory network certification(s) such as CCNA/CCNP/CCIE or HCIA/HCIP/HCIE (one or more).
- Strong hands-on experience with routing, switching, firewalls, and common network troubleshooting tools and methodologies.
- Deep knowledge of network protocols, architectures, and security principles.
- Proven incident troubleshooting, fault isolation, and change management experience.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in network managed services and multi-vendor environments.
- Exposure to automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python scripting) and network monitoring/platforms.
- Experience with hybrid cloud networking and SD-WAN solutions.
