About the team
Operations Planning Section is to provide operations administration and operation support within departments. Also, promote Operation and System projects in corporation with other departments or Head Office and to establish the business continuity plan to mitigate the risk to the branch under emergency situation. Operations Risk Control Team is holding responsibilities to monitor, identify and mitigate the operations risk in the Bank.
Role requirements
- To perform various tasks related to Operations Planning to support branch activities
- To prepare statistical reports analysing data, such as transaction volumes, overtime, staff turnover etc. to assist Branch Management in developing forward-looking strategies
- To administer and manage Operational Error Reports and related documentation, etc.
- To assist the superiors in preparing risk-related reports to both local Management and Head Office
- To provide operational supports to other branches whenever necessary
- To perform any other duties assigned by superiors
Essential Functions
- To conduct regular inspections on daily operations
- To collaborate with other departments/sections to prepare Risk Scenario Report in order to identify the inherent risks of different risk scenarios and establish effective risk reduction measures
- To deliver regular information control training & comprehensive testing in accordance with Head Office announcement
- To educate new staff understand the importance and our Banks requirement on Information Control
Competencies

- Able to manage regular work independently and handle irregular cases by obtaining necessary guidance from line managers;
- Possess mind-set to initiate changes and improvements for higher productivity/performance.
- Proactively acquire necessary knowledge through day-to-day work through training and communicate with relevant counterparties to solve problems.
- Build good working relationship with other members and stakeholders and effectively collaborate with them to achieve Team/Section goals.
- Respect for, and commit to, high standards of business conduct and integrity in promoting deals/projects, and conducting operations/reporting, etc.
Work experience, education and skills
- Bachelors Degree holder.
- Minimum 2 years experience of back office operations in the Banking industry.
- Exposure in operational risk management support including information control, special events identification, etc.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese. Putonghua is preferable.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
