We are currently hiring this role for a HKEX listed company in financial sector in Hong Kong. This is a new headcount and reporting to the Group CFO located in Shanghai.
Key Responsibilities:
I. Strategic Planning & Decision Support
- Strategic Planning: Participate in formulating the companys long-term development strategies and capital allocation plans, assessing feasibility and returns from a financial perspective.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts to provide financial guidance and performance targets for business growth.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of financial and operational data, delivering actionable insights and recommendations to management and the Board to support business decisions and enhance profitability.
- Capital Management: Optimize capital structure, manage cash flow, and ensure sufficient funding for operations and growth while maintaining overall financial health.
II. Financial Reporting, Compliance & Audit
- Financial Reporting & Disclosure: Oversee the preparation and timely submission of quarterly, interim, and annual financial reports.
- Audit Management: Lead the annual audit process, coordinate with external auditors, and address any issues identified.
III. Internal Control & Regulatory Compliance
- Internal Controls: Establish, maintain, and continuously optimize the internal financial control framework to prevent errors and fraud.
- Regulatory Liaison: Act as the primary contact with regulatory authorities, handle inquiries and reviews, and ensure strict compliance with listing rules, the Securities and Futures Ordinance, and other relevant regulations.
IV. Treasury & Cash Management
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage daily cash flow to ensure adequate and efficient working capital.
- Financing Strategy: Develop and execute financing plans aligned with corporate strategy, including but not limited to debt and equity financing.
- Risk Management: Identify and manage financial risks (interest rate, foreign exchange, and credit risks, particularly critical for multinational listed companies), and apply financial instruments to mitigate exposures.
V. Team Leadership & Systems Development
- Team Leadership: Lead the finance function (including Accounting, Treasury, Tax, and FP&A), while attracting, developing, and retaining top financial talent.
- Systems Optimization: Drive digital and automation initiatives in financial systems (e.g., ERP upgrades, RPA implementation) to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or above; Big Four experience or degree from a top-tier university preferred.
- Professional qualifications such as HKICPA, CPA, or equivalent required.
- Minimum 10 years of financial management experience, including at least 5 years as finance lead in a mid-to-large listed company (HKEX experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of Hong Kong and international accounting standards.
- Excellent English communication and coordination skills.
- Familiarity with differences between Mainland China and Hong Kong financial regulations; proven ability to manage cross-border finance matters.
- In-depth understanding of internal control processes, budgeting, and risk management within listed companies.
- Strong logical thinking with the ability to identify and resolve complex problems.
