We are seeking a dynamic and experienced High Net Worth (HNW) Underwriter Manager or Senior Manager to join our client - an MNC Insurance company. In this pivotal role, you will lead the HNW underwriting team, driving the strategy and execution of underwriting practices for high-value insurance products. Your expertise will help us maintain our competitive edge in the market while ensuring exceptional service to our clients. Relocation to Hong Kong Option is available!
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of underwriters, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Underwriting Strategy: Develop and implement underwriting strategies for high net worth clients, ensuring alignment with company goals and market trends
- Risk Assessment: Evaluate complex risks and make informed underwriting decisions to optimise profitability and mitigate exposure.
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with brokers, agents, and clients to understand their needs and provide tailored insurance solutions.
- Compliance: Ensure all underwriting processes comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyse underwriting performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
- Training & Development: Provide ongoing training and support to underwriting staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in underwriting, with a focus on high net worth clients.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in underwriting software and tools.
