We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with a strong focus on financial business development to oversee the finance teams across our grown-up companies and Berg Group Companies. Reporting directly to the Group CEO, the successful candidate will drive strategic growth, optimize financial performance, and support the Groups expansion by shaping financial strategies to scale operations, enhance profitability, and identify new business opportunities. This role demands strong financial and treasury leadership, ensuring the integrity of reporting and analysis, along with deep expertise in financial management, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance. A commercial mindset is essential to translate strategy into actionable plans and implement business controls that improve operational efficiency.
HOW YOU WILL DO IT
1. Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the Groups overall business objectives.
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the companys long-term business objectives.
- Serve as a key advisor to the CEO & Chairman on financial and business development initiatives and Provide insights and recommendations on financial performance, investment opportunities, and risk management.
2. Financial Management:
- Set up and lead financial reporting throughout the group including related businesses
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, forecasts, and budgets.
- Manage the organizations financial planning, analysis, and reporting processes.
3. Financial Business development
- Identify and evaluate new revenue streams, growth opportunities, and potential investments.
- Lead initiatives in market research, competitive analysis, and financial due diligence to support expansion efforts.
- Partner with business units to develop financial models for new ventures, projects, and products.
4. Risk Management:
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks to protect the Groups assets.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
5. Capital Management:
- Oversee capital structure and funding strategies, including debt and equity financing across the organization within Berg Group.
- Manage relationships with banks, investors, and other financial partners.
6. Operational Efficiency:
- Drive improvements in financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with other teams among various business units to improve operational performance.
7. Commercialization and Business Advisory:
- strong in financial modelling and building investment cases including funding structures
- Leverage financial insights to drive business growth and commercial success.
- Develop execution plans and business controls to strengthen operational efficiency.
- Provide advisory support to business units to identify revenue opportunities and cost optimization strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance leadership roles, preferably in a corporate or group environment. Relevant industry experience is highly preferred.
- Certifications: CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional certification is highly desirable.
