Role Overview:
My client is seeking a seasoned and client-focused Senior Relationship Manager to join our Securities Services team in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and deepening relationships with institutional clients across the region, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong interpersonal skills and a deep understanding of securities services products and market dynamics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of institutional clients, including asset managers, banks, and sovereign entities.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to grow revenue, enhance client satisfaction, and identify cross-sell opportunities.
- Maintain a deep understanding of clients' business models, investment strategies, and operational needs.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across product, operations, legal, and compliance to deliver seamless client service.
- Lead client reviews, service-level discussions, and governance meetings.
- Monitor market trends and regulatory developments to proactively advise clients and mitigate risks.
- Drive continuous improvement in client experience through feedback and innovation.
- Support onboarding of new clients and transitions of existing mandates.
- Represent the firm at industry events and client forums.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in relationship management within securities services, custody, fund administration, or related financial services.
- Proven track record of managing complex institutional client relationships in Asia, preferably with exposure to Greater China.
- Strong knowledge of securities services products including custody, fund accounting, transfer agency, and middle office solutions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to navigate a matrix organisation and influence cross-functional teams.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin is highly desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field; MBA or professional certifications (e.g., CFA) are a plus.
