Title: Human Resources Director – International education institution

About the Role:
Our client is a private education institution who is looking for a Human Resources Director to join their team in Hong Kong. Looking for candidates with at least 8 years of HR experience, with previous experience in education sector. Fluent in Mandarin and English is required for this role. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop HR strategies in conjunction with the vision, mission and values of the school.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies to attract and retain top talent, ensuring an engaged workforce.
  • Supervising the staff in the HR department, to oversee the full human resources day-to-day operations including payroll
  • Reviewing and streamlining, where necessary, the workflow regularly in order to ensure the efficiency of the department
  • Conducting market benchmarking survey, develop and recommend compensation policies, procedures and practices for maintaining external competitiveness and internal equity throughout the school
  • Providing professional guidance and support to line managers, and employees and staff on matters relating to employee relations
  • Leading investigations and disciplinary management of staff, ensuring accurate records of cases are kept within confidential employment files
  • Working with all stakeholders, including staff, to communicate the objectives of HR strategies
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • Minimum 8 years of HR experience, with experience in the education sector
  • Fluent in English and Chinese (both Mandarin and Cantonese) is required
  • Good knowledge of HR practices, employment ordinance and other HR related legislations
  • High levels of personal and professional integrity
  • Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach
  • Proactive and a positive ‘can do approach in all aspects of the role
  • Collaborative approach to team working, both internally and with external vendors
