Your new role
- Assist the Head of Compliance and MLRO in conducting money laundering investigations by analysing customer transactions and trends, drawing conclusions, and drafting Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) for submission to the JFIU
- Conduct AML reviews of customer accounts based on alerts and analytical reports generated by the unit.
- Conduct daily transaction monitoring reviews using internal systems to detect potential suspicious activity
- Analyse customer behaviour, account activity, and transaction patterns to identify red flags
- Review sanctions referrals received from other units regarding customer payments and trade transactions, and provide decisions in line with the Bank's policies.
- Escalate and investigate alerts, preparing detailed case narratives and supporting documentation
- Draft and file Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Compliance, Risk, Operations) to gather information and resolve cases
- Stay current with regulatory changes and industry best practices related to AML and financial crime
What you'll need to succeed
- Require 2-4 years of AML experience in Banking, and transaction monitoring experience is a must
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience
- Proven track record in investigating financial crimes and monitoring money laundering.
- Highly organised, with strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Fluent in English is a must.
