Job Purpose
- Prepare comprehensive credit proposals and support the marketing team in maintaining client relationships, addressing any related issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed analysis of financial statements.
- Collaborate with the Relationship Manager or Account Manager to discuss customer needs, line structures, and associated terms and conditions.
- Work closely with the Relationship Manager to gather all necessary information for processing credit proposals from clients.
- Develop credit proposals with a strong focus on risk analysis and mitigation strategies, considering financial, operational, and environmental factors. Ensure financial highlights are well-documented and align with bank policies. Prepare credit presentations that are clear, concise, and of high quality.
- Gain thorough knowledge of the bank's credit policies, products, and services.
- Cultivate a positive relationship with the Credit Manager to address any queries.
- Attend to customer calls as necessary.
- Manage account onboarding and prepare call reports.
- Conduct KYC/AML related tasks, deal execution, and documentation.
Working Environment
- Operate in a competitive, dynamic, and regulated business landscape with low entry/exit barriers. Adhere to the bank's Credit Policy Manual while liaising effectively with superiors, direct reports, and support units to meet business goals.
Problem Solving
- Assist the Account Manager/Relationship Manager in resolving issues to enhance customer satisfaction.
Decision-Making Authority
- Responsible for preparing accurate credit proposals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, Economics, Entrepreneurship, or Engineering
- 1 - 2 years of relevant experience in the banking or financial industry.
- High proficiency in English and Mandarin; knowledge of Cantonese is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of the bank's credit policies and operational systems.
- Essential skills in credit, legal matters, and marketing.
- Awareness of various financial products and services.
- Excellent communication and analytical abilities, with a team-oriented mindset.
- Strong command of the MS Office Suite.
