Responsibilties:
• Manage a small team to oversee financial reporting
• Prepare timely and accurate financial statements and reports, and implement monthly variance reporting
• Ensure timely and efficient processing of all payments, including vendor payments, payroll, and employee reimbursements
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls
• Ensure compliance with all accounting standards, laws, and regulations, including statutory and tax filings
• Assist with ad-hoc special projects and analyses as needed
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. legal, HR, operation)
• Assist in the enhancement and establishment of SOPs
• Liaise with external auditors
• Participate in ERP system implementation with IT, ensuring seamless integration and data quality
• Mentor and develop the finance team to enhance their performance and skills
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
• CPA or equivalent accounting qualification
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities
• 8+ years of experience in financial reporting and consolidation with Big 4 audit experience is an advantage
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sun) and MS Office applications
• Industry experience in mining is a strong advantage
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
