The Role
AVP/VP, Quality Assurance, Equity Sales & Derivatives
Key Accountabilities
- Risk Monitoring, Assessment, and Reporting: Conduct monitoring, assessment, analysis, and reporting of trading strategies and related risk (including market risk, credit risk, operational risk, and compliance risk) of the trading desks;
- Profit and Loss (P&L) Analysis: Perform P&L analysis based on data provided by the Risk Management Department, including quantitative analysis of significant P&L changes;
- Authorization and Limit Management: Assist the Risk Management Department in authorization management and risk limit monitoring and alerting, while proposing management suggestions;
- Stress Testing and Emergency Management: Lead stress testing and business continuity exercises;
- Counterparty Onboarding and Limit Applications, Corporate Actions, and Account Risk Monitoring: Coordinate counterparty onboarding and limit applications, monitor corporate actions, and review account risks;
- Contract and Agreement Management: Responsible for updating or renegotiating agreements (e.g., ISDA, CSA);
- Compliance Management: Lead the investigation of daily compliance issues for trading desks, enforce accountability, manage incompatible roles, assist in investigations, and report violations;
- Risk Report Preparation: Prepare risk-related reports on a regular basis;
- Trade Booking and Management: Perform trade support tasks, including trade booking, trade reconciliation, valuation reports, margin management, trade confirmation, settlement status, regulatory reporting, and daily funding monitoring, ensuring accuracy in all trade-related matters;
- Workflow Optimization, Automation Proposals, and System Upgrades/New Product Launches: Optimize workflows, propose automation solutions, and participate in system upgrades and new product launches.
Skills & Experience
- University graduated in Finance, Business Administration or relevant disciplines;
- Candidate with 8 years of work experience in the areas of Middle Office or risk management is preferred;
- Candidate with work experience relate to equity derivatives and has strong knowledge of market practice, market operations and regulations of equity derivatives is preferred;
- Excellent communication skills, independent, reliable and detail oriented;
- Flexibility to adapt to changing environment and multitasking;
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese.
