We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Trade Surveillance Analyst/Assistant Manager to join the Compliance team and help safeguard market integrity through vigilant monitoring and analysis.

Your new role
  • Conduct daily trade surveillance across multiple asset classes to detect potential market abuse, insider trading, or other irregularities.
  • Investigate alerts generated by surveillance systems and escalate findings as appropriate.
  • Assist in enhancing surveillance models and tuning parameters to improve detection accuracy.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Front Office, Legal, and Risk to ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Support regulatory enquiries and audits by preparing relevant documentation and analysis.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory developments and industry best practices in trade surveillance and compliance.
  • Contribute to ad hoc compliance projects and initiatives as assigned.


What you'll need to succeed
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Law, Business, or a related discipline.
  • 2-4+ years of experience in trade surveillance/compliance within banking, financial services, or Fintech.
  • Familiarity with surveillance tools (e.g., Actimize, SMARTS, or similar platforms) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Cantonese.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
