A well-established investment management firm is seeking a proactive, goal-oriented professional to join its Fund Operations & Accounting team. This role provides broad exposure to fund accounting, valuation, audit, and tax reporting for investment vehicles and group entities, offering an excellent platform for career growth in alternative investments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle operations for funds and affiliated entities, including NAV preparation, valuation, accounting, and financial reporting.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting in compliance with IFRS/US GAAP and internal policies.
- Support valuation processes for illiquid and distressed assets, coordinating with third-party valuation agents.
- Assist in portfolio performance reporting and analytics for senior management and investors.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and fund administrators to ensure smooth audits and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
- Maintain robust internal controls and risk management practices.
- Handle investor servicing, including subscriptions, redemptions, capital calls, distributions, and ad-hoc data requests.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, fund administrators, and service providers.
- Support system enhancements and implement new operational and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; CPA/CA qualification preferred.
- Over 5 years of hands-on experience in valuation and audit of private investments.
- Associate-level role available for less experienced candidates.
- Demonstrated stability with a minimum of 2 years at each previous employer.
- Big Four audit and valuation experience strongly preferred.
- Exposure to fund management, private investments, listed investment holding companies, or REITs is highly valued.
- Advanced Excel skills; VBA, database, or programming knowledge is a plus.
- Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to take initiative and drive results.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in Cantonese/Mandarin and English.
