We are seeking an experienced Finance Data Business Analyst to join the Data Work stream of a regional insurer's finance transformation program. This is a high-impact initiative aimed at decommissioning legacy systems and implementing a modern technology such as AI to automate various aspects.
The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring data accuracy across the region during the system transition. This role requires someone with a strong background in data analysis, and stakeholder engagement across Asia.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the Business Analyst, collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, gather business requirements, and establish KPIs for the Finance Data project.
- Identify and investigate data discrepancies or anomalies; trace issues back to their source and work with stakeholders to resolve them.
- Collaborate closely with finance, actuarial, IT, and data teams across the Region to understand reporting/dashboard requirements and ensure alignment with the new system architecture.
- Translate business reporting needs into data requirements and ensure they are reflected in the new environment.
- Support testing and validation of data post-migration to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance data governance and reporting quality.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in finance data business analysis, ideally within the insurance or financial services sector.
- Prior consulting experience at a Big 4 firm (Manager level or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to trace data issues and propose effective solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to liaise between technical and non-technical teams.
- Proficiency in tools such as Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is an advantage.
