Your new role


As AML Advisory Assistant Manager/Manager, you will play a critical role in advising business units on AML compliance matters, interpreting regulatory requirements, and ensuring robust controls are in place to mitigate financial crime risks. You'll be a key partner to senior stakeholders and contribute to shaping the bank's AML strategy.

  • Provide expert guidance on AML regulations, policies, and procedures across business lines
  • Ensure the Bank maintains a robust and effective AML/CFT compliance framework and control environment.
  • Deliver expert advisory support to business units and key stakeholders in both Hong Kong and Mainland China, ensuring adherence to internal policies and external regulatory obligations.
  • Advise on new product initiatives and business proposals from an AML risk perspective
  • Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on the bank's operations.
  • Support the design and implementation of AML controls and risk assessments
  • Liaise with internal audit, regulators, and external stakeholders on AML-related matters
  • Deliver training and awareness programs to promote a strong compliance culture

What you'll need to succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business, or related field; CAMS certification preferred
  • Minimum 4-8 years of AML advisory experience in banking or financial services
  • Strong knowledge of international AML regulations (e.g., FATF, HKMA, MAS, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English is highly desirable.
