Our APAC Government and Regulatory Relations team, part of Bloomberg's External Relations department, is responsible for the firm's engagement with government and regulatory authorities on policy and regulations impacting Bloomberg and our clients. We constructively contribute to the policymaking process and build and maintain a strong network of partners.
What's the role? We are looking for an APAC Government and Regulatory Relations Specialist to join our dynamic team. You will work closely with colleagues across the business to support our engagement with policymakers and regulators as they develop rules around key areas like market structure, artificial intelligence , operational resilience, and sustainable finance. This role will be based in Hong Kong, both supporting the wider team and with a specific, deeper focus on several markets.
We'll trust you to :
- Support the team in engaging with regulatory authorities and contributing to important policy debates in APAC that align with business priorities.
- Assist in the execution of our advocacy and engagement strategy for the region.
- U nderstand and articulate the impact of regulations across different markets , including writing regulatory news briefs for the Bloomberg Terminal.
- Contribute to the organi s ation of regulatory roundtables and other events across APAC.
- Perform essential functions that support the effective running of the team , such as data entry into our engagement database, minute taking for regional working groups , and supporting the team in implementing department-wide processes.
- Undertake procedural and administrative work as required to support the team's objectives .
You'll need to have: - 3-5 years' experience working in financial services, public policy, or a related field .
- A strong interest in financial regulation and policy across APAC jurisdictions .
- Excellent research, analysis, and communication skills (written and spoken) .
- A proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
- Fluency in English, and f luency in an Asian language is a bonus.
