Optimas Capital is a well-established Asset Management Company founded in Hong Kong with offices at multiple locations across Asia. We manage hedge funds and other investment products with a solid investor base and track record. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an Operation Associate to join our team to partake daily operations functions. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and develop insightful and wide-ranging knowledge of hedge fund operations.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for daily fund operations including but not limited to trade confirmations, matching, settlement and corporate actions
- Work closely with trading team, external and internal stakeholders
- Liaise with prime brokers, fund administrator and system vendor on reconciliation, break resolution and perform periodic data
analytics
- Partake in NAV and P&L preparation
- Assist and provide support to regulatory reporting
- Assist in broker onboarding, accounts set up, and new product launch
- Partake in annual fund audit and tax reporting with auditors, tax advisors and legal counsel
- Participate in ad hoc projects when required
Requirements
- A degree holder with 3- 7 years of relevant working experience in fund management operations (hedge fund preferred) and/or
trade support, fund accounting
- Basic understanding of financial products
- Solid knowledge/experience with PMS systems, proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent command in written and spoken English and Chinese
- Attention to details with strong analytical skills
- Strong communications, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Highly motivated and can work under pressure
- Knowledge of SMA is highly preferred
