Pinpoint Asia is partnering with a leading global quantitative investment manager renowned for its technology-driven, scientific approach to trading. Our client operates across all liquid asset classes worldwide, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture that pushes the boundaries of finance and technology.
We are seeking a highly motivated and technical individual to join their Production Trading Operations team. This is a critical, front-office-facing role at the nerve center of the firm's trading activities. You will be responsible for ensuring the seamless, high-performance operation of their live, automated trading systems.
This is not a typical back-office support role. You will be a proactive partner to traders, developers, and compliance, safeguarding the firm's trading flow, managing risk limits, and driving process automation.
Your Responsibilities:
- Proactively monitor the health and performance of live trading systems, order flow, and risk limit utilization.
- Act as the first line of defense for all trading-related issues, providing rapid-response troubleshooting and resolution.
- Liaise directly with trading desks, compliance, and IT teams to pre-empt and resolve intraday issues.
- Manage trading session access, system configurations, and ensure strict compliance with all trading limits.
- Develop a deep technical and business-level understanding of the firm's complex trading platform.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and drive the automation of trading processes, particularly for equities and futures.
- Contribute to key initiatives focused on operational resilience, scalability, and efficiency.
Your Skillset:
- Approximately 5 years of experience in a similar role supporting a live, high-frequency, or systematic trading environment.
- A degree in a quantitative or technical discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a calm and confident communication style.
- Proven capacity to multi-task, prioritize, and maintain sharp attention to detail in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Technical exposure to electronic trading protocols (e.g., FIX) and low-latency systems.
- Prior experience with equities and/or futures markets is ideal. Multi-asset class knowledge is a significant plus.
Desirable Skills:
- Scripting and automation skills in a language like Python are highly desirable.
- Experience in exploring and analyzing large datasets to identify patterns or opportunities for improvement.
