Position Description
The Investment Solutions team focuses on providing AMs global client base with tailored portfolios and other investment solutions across a wide range of asset classes, and with a significant focus on cross-border China investment.
This is a role that will provide the successful candidate with great training and experience in structuring, trading, and portfolio management in AMs Investment Solutions business. In this team, we take care of the complete investment process, from pre-launch preparation, trade execution to ongoing risk and operation monitoring, so your skills and interest in structuring, trade execution and/or operations would be needed. In practice, the team works closely with internal teams and external counterparties, where the candidate will learn a great deal about all elements of Investment Solutions from the beginning to the end of the product life-cycle.
Key Areas of Responsibilities
- Support pre-launch portfolio planning, structuring and trade preparation and handling trade execution in multi-asset client portfolios including fixed income, equity and other securities (cross-border QFI, QDII, Stock Connect and Bond Connect)
- Working with Middle Office on settlement and operations, including trade booking, risk limit monitoring, etc.
- Assist to provide investment advice and guidance for investment opportunities to clients.
- Support all aspects of product development and solution structuring, including fund and account structuring, portfolio structuring, managing internal risk management approvals, and other transaction execution functions.
- Assist to produce and maintain product and client materials including periodic Investment Solutions client updates and pitch decks.
- Keep fully informed about the full range of CITIC CLSA fixed income/equity trading and structuring capabilities both onshore and offshore in order to be a ‘product specialist.
- Capable of supporting sales teams on client pitches and product & solution explanation
- Capable of project management by communicating with internal and external parties to make sure smooth launch process.
Requirements
- University degree holder in business administration, banking, finance, accounting or related discipline.
- Experience in portfolio management and/or derivative structuring experience, preferably in more than one asset class, and experience in cross-border PRC investing and familiarity with QFI, QDII and other cross-border investment channels, will be regarded as an advantage.
- Ability to multi-task and be flexible to requests and deadlines.
