Rust Developer - Hedge Fund - Data Infrastructure - Low Latency - Hong Kong
This is an exciting opportunity to join a data infrastructure team that builds and optimizes systems responsible for the ingestion, processing, and serving of massive datasets at scale .
The successful candidate will help push the limits of one of the most demanding data ecosystems in the industry , working on cutting-edge challenges such as real-time pub/sub pipelines , shared databases , and large-scale distributed systems .
Key Responsibilities
- Design, review, and implement scalable data services and clients.
- Champion coding excellence — conduct peer code reviews, lead or contribute to design discussions, and enforce best practices in code quality, testability, and efficiency .
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business and technical requirements, delivering robust and adaptive solutions.
- Diagnose, investigate, and resolve complex system issues to ensure stability and high performance across the data infrastructure.
Ideal Skillset
- Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and system design .
- Highly skilled Rust Developer with direct experience coding in Rust in a professional capacity
- Proven experience developing high-performance server code , with knowledge of multithreading, caching, and asynchronous I/O .
- Solid grasp of the big data ecosystem , including familiarity with tools such as Elasticsearch, Kafka, BigTable, Cassandra , and others.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams.
