Your new company An emerging insurer is looking for a senior internal auditor, preferably with exposure to life insurance, to lead the function.
Your new role
Lead the internal audit function, including developing and delivering the annual audit plan and adjusting it based on emerging risks.
Conduct risk-based audits and compliance testing to ensure adherence to internal policies, regulations, and industry standards.
Evaluate internal controls and governance processes, provide recommendations, and monitor the implementation of corrective actions.
Report key audit findings, risk exposures, and remediation status to the Board Audit Committee and senior management.
Act as the main liaison with external auditors and regulators, ensuring smooth inspections and timely submission of documentation.
What you'll need to succeed
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.
8-10 years of audit experience in financial institutions, with at least 5 years in life insurance.
Strong knowledge of auditing standards, regulatory requirements, and risk management practices.
Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills; fluent in English and Chinese.
Independent, detail-oriented, and able to work collaboratively with senior stakeholders.
